Horse of the year show 2011

 

Anchorman

A testing course resulted in there being only three clears.

Anchorman jumped amazingly well for his debut at HOYS,

 we had only one fence down so went through to the showing phase.

He gave a good ride and got good conformation marks so we were through to the

 final result later that evening.

 It is a proud feeling to get through to the evening performance and wear the posh gear!

He behaved very well in the huge atmosphere of the evening crowd and we came 6th over all.

This I feel is a great result for a six year old and a very exciting future ahead for

 Anchorman and his owner Carolyn Stevens .And thankyou Carolyn he is a pleasure to ride. Rock on 2012!!!!

3rd Longleat Horse Trials

We were lucky to complete our day at Longleat as it had to be abandonded the next day due to the wet weather,  we did get very wet indeed. The going did get a bit heavy in the showjumping and by the end of the day the dressage arnas were under water. A real shame as it is such a nice event. I think the sealions opposite the dressage arenas were having the best day!

1st Glenusk International Horse Trials

A very pleasing win for Soloman at this event. This was my first trip to Glenusk horse trials and what a lovely setting, the ride down to the xc start took us through amazing rose gardens.

Eclipse Bicton Horse Trials 2011

A good weekend had by My Eclipse offspring

Lunar Eclipse II owned and bred by Sue Shute from Devon ridden by Miss Lindsay Pearce won the BE90 at Bicton Horse Trials on 29th April. This was thier first outing at a BE event so a win is a good start.

Quinton owned and bred by Kathryn Pitt  won the small Hunter class at Helston Flora Show ridden by Lucy Bowden.

D-TOX owned and bred by Mel Hennah ridden by Annette Buckingham Won Riding Horse class also Champion light horse and Supreme Champion of Helston Flora Show.

 National Hunter Show 2010

Anchorman had a worth while trip to Addington for the National Hunter Championship show this year.

This was his first time at the show and for a 5yr old he was amazing and i was very proud to be sat on him. Unfortanetly Carolyn Stevens who owns him could not make it to watch but he did her proud and the photo's speak for themselves!

Anchorman (Al ) has had a good start to his working hunter career this season.

He did his first open HOYS qualifier at Stithians Show 2010 and was 2nd he then went on to jump clear again at cambone show and finished 2nd qualifing for The Royal International Horse Show next year at Hickstead.

We then took the long journey up to Addington for the National Hunter Show.

He again jumped really well  also gained very good marks for conformation and won the 5yr old sport horse class.

FIVE YEAR OLD RIDDEN SPORT HORSE

I dared to take him in the heavyweight open working hunter class. Wanting only to give him confidence at this stage i was concerned that it might be a bit much at young his age. Well he loved it! Jumping as amazing as ever our only fault was jumping out of the arena to a white stile where he was a bit green and just tipped a pole, though this did catch out allot of the well seasoned worker's also. Their turned out to be only two clears and we were called back in for the showing bit with one down. He gave a super ride and again getting good marks for conformation finishing 5th with 4th place going to this years HOYS winner and 6th going to last years HOYS winner. We were all delighted with this result as we had very good company in the class
